Petit-Figeac Second wine Château Figeac 2018
Critics have awarded the vintage of Figeac's second wine a remarkable 94 points (Suckling, Wine Enthusiast) – an impressive score for a second wine. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate is somewhat more reserved in its assessment, yet at the same time pays it the ultimate compliment for a second wine: the "Petit' possesses the same irresistible personality as the Grand Vin! James Suckling detects plum fruit, along with cedar, mushrooms and forest floor. Other critics are reminded of Black Forest gateau and praise the balanced character of the little Figeac, which, despite all its energy and richness, nevertheless displays impressive finesse and seductive elegance. There is no doubt about it: the 2018 "Petit Figeac' is a second wine highlight that need not shy away from comparison with many a Grand Vin.
