Dominus Estate Napanook 2019

Grape material from the oldest parts of Dominus Estate, dating back to the 19th century, provides the basis for the "Napanook' from Dominus Estate. Black cherry, plum, mocha and chocolate form the aromatic backbone alongside the omnipresent blackcurrant, along with tobacco, liquorice and a little pencil. In short: the usual flavour suspects of a classic Bordeaux blend dominated by Cabernet. In terms of both history and price, the "Napanook' is of course a second wine. Nevertheless, one should not be fooled by its favourable price. It is actually exceptionally cheap in relation to its quality. In Napa Valley in particular, it is rare to find so much wine at such a relatively favourable price.
