Esprit Leflaive Pouilly-Fuissé 2019

The second vintage of the "Esprit Leflaive Pouilly-Fuissé'. A white Burgundy from two old vineyards (planted in 1951!), which could scarcely be more exemplary. Tropical fruit, white peach, apricot, accompanied by caramel-like butteriness, hazelnut and toasted almonds. The bouquet is complemented by citrus freshness and a mineral backbone characterised by saltiness and wet rock. All of this is exquisitely balanced, resulting in a highly elegant presentation, beneath the surface of which, however, the remarkable power and concentration of this Chardonnay can be felt at all times.
