Loess in the form of calcareous silt forms the basis for Rudi Pichler's Ried Hochrain. The wine is an absolute endurance runner and the combination of 15 years of maturity and the double magnum format makes it an absolute asset to any larger drink. The Grüner Veltliner has matured superbly, is calm and yet lively, opulent and yet precise, with lots of stone fruit, honey and wax, herbs, orange zest and rocks. A wine with the classic fullness of the Wachau in a magnificent manner.
