Falstaff attests to the "Burgundian dimensions' of this Vinothek Reserve, while Wine Advocate describes its almost "hedonistic fruit'. Both are unanimous in their assessment with 97 points. This Zieregg is powerful and concentrated, with a deep minerality that is typical of the site. Plenty of grip and tension meet typical Sauvignon fruit, the 5 g/l residual sugar, to which it has fermented down, provide a pleasant fullness on the palate. The finesse-rich acidity structure balances the wine and creates a highly elegant overall impression. The long, multi-faceted finish is also impressive. In the double magnum, it certainly has potential for many more years.
