Bodegas Salentein Puramun Reserva Chardonnay 2022
The exceptionally harmonious and round Chardonnay from Puramun/Pepe Galante comes from the Uco Valley in Argentina, which is particularly privileged for viticulture. Just 18,000 bottles of this wine are produced each year, which owes its balanced flavour primarily to the fact that it comes from two different sub-regions - and therefore also from two types of soil - in the Uco Valley: The clayey alluvial soil of Paraje Altamira, interspersed with pebbles, and the pure pebbly soils of Chacayes. An average altitude of 1,200 metres and only partial malolactic fermentation ensure citrus notes and an incredibly fresh acidity. The wine is aged for nine months in French wood - 20% of which is first fermentation - resulting in an exotic fruit flavour with a hint of vanilla.
