Tenuta San Leonardo in Trentino can look back on exactly 300 years of proud history in 2024. In addition to the flagship San Leonardo, three other red wines are produced - the "Terri di San Leonardo? is the estate's base wine. It is also dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon (50%), but there is almost as much (40%) Merlot in second place. Finally, 10% Carmenère rounds off the mix. It certainly cannot be compared with the Tenuta's "Vin de Garde?, but for its price it offers crystal-clear and varied fruit (cherry, raspberry, plum), a very good balance and a well-defined structure. Subtle herbal and balsamic notes round off the aromas. Great drinking pleasure at a low price.
