Antinori Tignanello 2021

Tignanello means about 80% Sangiovese, the quintessential Tuscan red grape, skillfully enhanced with around 20% French savoir vivre in the form of Cabernet Sauvignon (13%) and Cabernet Franc (8%). This is followed by 12 to 14 months of maturation in French and Hungarian oak – and the recipe for the successful Supertuscan with a traditional base and an innovative twist is complete. This wine has been produced by Antinori since 1971, and the 2021 vintage more than lives up to its 50th anniversary. Red currant fruit meets notes of tea, rose, licorice, white pepper, nutmeg, and clove, all wrapped in a dark red silky robe of utmost finesse and elegance. Tignanello has rightfully been a Tuscan wine icon for half a century.
