A mature dry Spätlese that could not be more pleasing for friends of classic Rheingau Rieslings. From a year that ended with a picture-book autumn after a wet August. 15 vineyard sites, all of them at least at the level of a Erste Gewächs or higher, are combined in this cuvée, which was first released in 1983 and is only bottled in years of good or outstanding quality. The 2011 offers aromatic, fully ripe, candied yellow fruit, remarkable concentration and now perfectly integrated, but still racy acidity. Stephan Reinhardt tasted the wine in April 2024, noted further ageing potential and awarded 92 points.
