Winery Rudolf Fürst Hundsrück GG Spätburgunder magnum 2022

The 2022 Hundsrück combines the essence of Centgrafenberg and Schlossberg, states Stephan Reinhardt for Wine Advocate, awarding it 98 points. Stuart Pigott rates it even higher – and the rest of the critics agree: one of the best German Pinot Noirs of the year. Extremely complex and dense red fruit, surrounded by a crescendo of other aromas: earth, wet stone, autumn leaves, smoke and a subtle but distinct peppery note, along with other spices. All of this is interwoven with an elegance and finesse that leaves the drinker speechless. It is often said that Germany simply cannot produce great Burgundy-style Pinots. Sebastian and Paul Fürst prove the opposite – and in an incredibly hedonistic way.
