Quinta Vale D. Maria Douro Red Hoki 2019
The "Vinhas Velhas? is a Douro red from vines at least 60 years old, planted as a field blend of more than 41 grape varieties. Key varieties include Rufete, Tinta Amarela, Tinta Francisca, Sousão, Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, and Tinta Roriz. The wine was matured for 20 months in new French oak. Deep, spicy, and fruity, it offers notes of blueberries, blackberries, cassis, cherries, and plums, along with chocolate and mocha, violets, roses, and wet stone. On the palate, it is concentrated, fleshy, dark-berried, and creamy in its elegant tannin structure and texture.
