The "Brut Nature Cuvée No. 204? from the sparkling wine estate of the Christmann family and sparkling wine specialist Matthieu Kauffmann is an assemblage of spontaneously fermented Pinot Noir (50%), Chardonnay, and Pinot Blanc (25% each). The base wine comes from the 2021 vintage and was disgorged as Brut Nature in November 2024. It is an intense, elegant, fantastically balanced sparkling wine with fine reductive and yeasty notes, a touch of oxidative apple fruit, plenty of iodine and lemon. On the palate, "No. 204? appears lively, fine, balanced, and saline.

Christmann Winery

The Christmann Winery is located in the Palatinate region of Mittelhaardt, one of the most important wine-growing landscapes in Germany. The family has owned parcels of land in the region since the end of the 18th century, and today Steffen and daughter Sophie run the business together. His heart beats for fine, terroir-influenced Rieslings. Sophie's passion is Pinot Noir.
