Batailley is likely to be one of the most interesting wines of the 2024 vintage in many respects. The great classic from Pauillac shows all its class even in difficult years. The red fruit orientation of the vintage also shines through in this Cabernet-accented wine. However, there is also some blackberry. Overall, a very balanced, floral and downright juicy wine that impresses with its fine elegance and good structure. It will be difficult to find a better Grand Cru Classé in this price segment. Subscribing is fun (and makes sense) again! As a historical bonus, there is a dark red label and a very rare 2.25 l bottle in Marie-Jeanne format (three normal bottles) to mark the 100th anniversary of the Borie-Castéja family!
