Originally founded as Cantina Sociale "Ai Vini delle Langhe" in Serralunga and taken over by Alfredo Prunotto in 1922, the Piedmontese winery has been owned by Marchesi Antinori since 1994.

In recent years, Prunotto has shifted its style from extraction-rich wines toward lighter, finer, more aromatic expressions. The "Barolo,? sourced from across the estate's holdings, is the best example. Transparent ruby Nebbiolo, it offers aromas of violets and lilacs, underbrush, cherries, anise, and stone. Juicy, lively, fresh, and clear, with wonderful finesse and lightness.
