La Dame de Montrose Saint-Estephe 2019

Bordeaux, France, Red wine, wine cuvée
0.75 l, Item no. 12558

Montrose's second wine impresses with its depth and balance. On the nose, cassis, plum, violet, graphite and smoke, with a hint of mocha. Silky and dense on the palate, but always cool; fine, ripe tannins, lively acidity and a long mineral finish. A great "second wine' that already shows great charm, but gains significantly with two hours of aeration or more.

Château Montrose

In the Saint-Estèphe appellation, on the banks of the Gironde, lies the Deuxième-Grand-Cru-Classé-Château Montrose. Wine was only cultivated here comparatively late, since 1815. Almost 200 years later, the entrepreneurs Martin and Olivier Bouygues acquired the vineyard and invested with the aim of preserving the historic Bordeaux heritage.
