Château Ausone
When it comes to wine estates that are something special, even unique in their entirety, then Ausone, the 1er Grand Cru Classé A wine estate from Saint-Emilion, with its exceptional wines, is undoubtedly one of them.
Château Ausone 1er GCC A St. Emilion 2020
Ratings for this truly masterful wine range between 98 points (Vinous) and 99 points (Suckling). An Ausone of overwhelming precision and depth. On the nose, violets, graphite, cassis, smoke and damp earth. Monumental yet weightless on the palate, carried by ultra-fine tannins and vibrant acidity. The structure is architectural, the finish endless and salty. A vintage that combines spirituality and power – a wine for decades, until 2070 and beyond.
