Giaconda Estate Vineyard Chardonnay 2023

The 2023 vintage from Giaconda Estate offers an overseas Chardonnay on a par with a Burgundian Grand Cru. The wine is characterised by its tension and focus, with Robert Parker's Wine Advocate particularly praising the great intensity of its aromas. There are rich notes of white peach, accompanied by curry leaves and a blend of pink grapefruit and blood orange. The fruit is joined by notes of ground coffee, graphite and mustard seeds – not to mention the smoky reductive note that lends this premium Chardonnay its deep tension. The Wine Advocate has already awarded it 98 points and sees even further potential for improvement as it ages in the bottle.
