Penfolds Reserve BIN A 2024
The "Bin 24A' has become a fascinating wine. This is not least due to the excellent conditions of the 2024 vintage. "Bin A' comes exclusively from the Adelaide Hills. It was fermented in barriques, with regular bâtonnage and malolactic fermentation. It matured for eight months in French oak, half of which was new. The style, which was almost impetuous in its youth, is now elegant. The lemon-yellow wine is balanced and intense at the same time, with notes of lemon, grapefruit, peach and nutty oak tones reminiscent of cashews. A hint of smoke and minerality completes the picture. With air, the more exotic side opens up. Lively freshness, fine acidity and a lingering finish characterise the wine.
