Winery Tramin Troy Chardonnay Südt. DOC 2022
The "Troy' is a highly complex Chardonnay that also has an unmistakable alpine character. This comes from the interplay of altitudes up to 550 metres, calcareous gravel and the cold downdrafts of the Mendel ridge. Fermentation and ageing took place in barriques, where the wine was left on the fine lees after malolactic fermentation. The Chardonnay was allowed to mature for 22 months. It now offers a fine blend of exotic notes such as mango, banana and Galia melon, nutty hints, bread crust and a touch of toast and smoke, lemon zest and mint. On the palate, it is equally complex, full-bodied, juicy, creamy, intense and concentrated, yet elegant and long.
