Winery Tramin Glarea Chardonnay Südt. DOC 2023
Kellerei Tramin
The name "Glarea' is of Rhaeto-Romanic origin and means "gravel'. It is the lower part of the Höllenbach debris cone, where the vines grow at an altitude of 220 to 280 metres. The soil consists of eroded rock masses from the highest mountains of the Mendel ridge. Hand-picked Chardonnay grapes are fermented at 19 ?C in wooden barrels and aged in barrique barrels, tonneaux and large 12 hl wooden barrels. The "Glarea' has aromas of grapefruit and pineapple, apricot, mango and a hint of banana, as well as flowers, stone and herbs with a subtle woodiness. On the palate, it is a full-bodied, juicy and fresh wine with excellent precision and length.
