Winery Tramin Epokale Gewürztraminer Spätlese 2017
Epokale is truly unique. The 2009 vintage was the first Italian white wine and the first Italian wine outside Tuscany and Piedmont to receive 100 points in Wine Advocate. It is a grand, intense and complex Gewürztraminer late harvest wine from two of the Cantina's oldest plots near the Nussbaumerhof in Tramin. The wine is stored for seven years four kilometres deep inside the Ridnaun tunnel on the Schneeberg at an altitude of over 2,000 metres. It is a wine full of exoticism, floral notes, local stone fruit and incredible density and freshness.
