Winery Tramin Stoan Cuvée Südt. DOC 2023

This is the "late release' of one of Italy's most characterful white wines. "Stoan' is a blend of Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Pinot Blanc and Gewürztraminer, whose grapes come from gravelly to stony, mineral-rich soils at 400 to 600 metres above sea level. Fermentation and ageing took place separately for each grape variety in large wooden barrels (30–40 hl) for one year and, after blending, for a further three months in large stainless steel tanks. This light golden wine is highly aromatic, reminiscent of peaches, apricots and pears, kiwi, elderberry and kumquat, roses and jasmine. On the palate, it is full-bodied and dense, ripe and juicy with a salty minerality, lots of creaminess, fruit and remarkable freshness.
