Domaine Faiveley Meursault 1er Cru Blagny 2024
The Climat Blagny serves as a sort of bridge between Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet. It lies at an elevation of between 300 and 360 meters, which, in a very rainy year like 2024, results in wines that are cool and elegant. The prerequisite for this: meticulous care during the selection process at harvest. But with a top producer like Faiveley, that goes without saying. This 1er Cru presents itself with a pale lemon-yellow color; on the nose, white and yellow fruit?and, of course, the oak notes from the approximately 30% new oak used during aging. On the palate, the wine displays racy acidity, citrus fruit complemented by melon and pear, and a hint of almond.
