Fèlsina Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Colonia 2021

Fèlsina's "Colonia? is one of Tuscany's rarest Sangiovese wines. This Gran Selezione comes from a small historic plot in Castelnuovo Berardenga, at the summit of the Rancia hill. The 2021 vintage displays an exceptional blend of depth, energy and elegance. On the nose, black cherries, wild berries, violets and dried herbs unfold, accompanied by tobacco, leather, graphite and a distinctive mineral spiciness combined with pronounced notes of toast, vanilla and cedarwood. On the palate, the wine is dense and powerful, yet precise and refined, supported by tightly woven tannins and vibrant acidity. A great, long-lived Sangiovese with tremendous tension and a finish that lingers for minutes. Superb!
