The 2024 Leutschach Chardonnay from Weingut Erwin Sabathi showcases the cool, precise character of Southern Styria in a particularly approachable form. Grown on limestone-rich soils around Leutschach, it displays a remarkable blend of freshness and substance. Rated 93 points by Falstaff, the 2024 vintage presents aromas of yellow apple, pear, candied orange, and a hint of white peach, accompanied by delicate herbal spice, notes of pistachio, and a subtle salty minerality. On the palate, the wine is crisp and taut, yet at the same time creamy and harmonious, supported by lively acidity and a subtle structure. An elegant Chardonnay with Burgundian character and excellent drinkability.
