The Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande 2025 is one of the great successes of the vintage in Pauillac. This blend of 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot and 4% Cabernet Franc combines power, depth and elegance in a remarkable way. On the nose, there are notes of blackcurrant, blackberries, black plums and dark cherries, complemented by violets, iris, cigar wrapper, precious woods, nougat and a hint of dark chocolate. On the palate, the wine is deep and multi-layered, with a concentrated core of dark fruit, subtle extract sweetness and fine-grained tannins. Despite its density, it remains polished and harmonious. The fresh structure lends tension, whilst the long finish is characterised by dark berries, spices and mineral nuances. A classic Pichon Comtesse with great ageing potential.
