Château Haut Brion 1er GCC Pessac Leognan 2025

Château Haut-Brion 2025 is one of the great wines of the vintage, a fact underscored by the numerous "up to 100 points' ratings it has received. Even at the en primeur stage, it displays an impressive combination of power, precision and elegance. The nose is initially reserved, but then opens up with notes of blackcurrants, blackberries, violets, spices, liquorice, tobacco and a hint of graphite. On the palate, the wine is dense, multi-layered and exceptionally finely structured. The enormous concentration is supported by an engaging freshness and an almost weightless balance. Velvety, perfectly integrated tannins lend depth and length, whilst mineral and slightly maritime nuances add extra tension to the lingering finish. A great Haut-Brion!
