"Louis Pommery England Rosé? impressively demonstrates the potential of English sparkling wine. The cuvée, made from Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Meunier and Pinot Gris, comes from the chalk-rich vineyards of the Pinglestone Estate in Hampshire and was aged on the lees for 17 months. On the nose, wild strawberries, blood orange and red apple combine with subtle toasty notes and a hint of mint. On the palate, the rosé is juicy and precise, with fresh summer berries, lively citrus, a creamy mousse and subtle spice. The brilliant acidity and elegant tension lend it great finesse and a long finish. Decanter awarded the wine 94 points.
