Vieux Château Certan Pomerol 2025

Vieux Château Certan 2025 is one of those wines that stands out even within this great vintage, and even amongst the perfect 100-point wines. The cuvée combines the power and depth of Pomerol with a precision and freshness more commonly associated with the great wines of the Médoc. The bouquet is incredibly complex, yet appears fragrant and weightless. On the palate, too, the "VCC' manages the feat of appearing both monumental and light-footed: enormous concentration, silky-smooth tannins and a vibrant energy carry the intense black fruit for minutes on end. The extremely low yields of just 22 hl/ha lend additional density. Numerous critics have awarded up to 100 points and regard this vintage as one of the greatest Vieux Château Certans in recent history. So do we!
