Weingut F. X. Pichler Unendlich Grüner Veltliner Magnum 2023

The Grüner Veltliner "Unendlich? is one of the Wachau's iconic wines and represents the pinnacle of the F.X. Pichler range. For the 2024 vintage, the grapes come predominantly from the Loibenberg, Kellerberg and Liebenberg vineyards. Following fermentation in large wooden casks and maturation in 500-litre barrels, the wine displays exceptional depth and precision. Aromas of ripe pear, yellow stone fruit and delicate citrus notes combine with hints of flint, smoke and subtle spice. On the palate, despite its concentration, the "Unendlich? never feels heavy, but rather elegant, multi-layered and characterised by great tension. A creamy texture, salty minerality and an almost endless finish give it its name. Vinous has awarded the vintage an outstanding 95–97 points.
