The 2023 "Unendlich' Riesling is F.X. Pichler's rare prestige cuvée and is produced exclusively in exceptional vintages. Consequently, no wine was produced in 2022 or 2024. The grapes come predominantly from the Kellerberg vineyard, supplemented by Höhereck and Loibenberg. Following fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine matured for around 18 months in large wooden barrels. The bouquet combines ripe mandarin and juicy citrus fruits with delicate herbal, stony and creamy notes. On the palate, this Riesling is highly concentrated and powerful, yet at the same time displays impressive elegance. Its creamy texture, precise minerality and vibrant acidity lend it enormous depth and an almost endless finish. Vinous has awarded this great Riesling 97–99 points!

Winery F.X. Pichler

The Pichlers have a good 20 hectares in Toprieden (vineyards). These are located in the direct vicinity of the winery in Loiben and Dürnstein. A little more than half of the area is planted with Grüner Veltliner, the other half with Riesling. There is also a small amount of Gelber Muskateller and a little Sauvignon Blanc.
