The Ried Kellerberg is one of the most famous vineyards in the Wachau and has been producing some of Austria's finest Rieslings for decades. F.X. Pichler's Riesling "Ried Kellerberg' 2024 combines the power of this legendary steep slope with exceptional precision. Initially reserved on the nose, it gradually reveals delicate citrus notes and the cool minerality of the primary rock. On the palate, the wine is incredibly focused and full of energy. Vibrant citrus fruit, crisp acidity and precise minerality lend it tremendous tension and drive, without ever compromising on elegance. The finish is long, lively and characterised by impressive freshness. With 95–97 points from Vinous, the 2024 vintage once again ranks among the outstanding Rieslings of the Wachau.

Winery F.X. Pichler

The Pichlers have a good 20 hectares in Toprieden (vineyards). These are located in the direct vicinity of the winery in Loiben and Dürnstein. A little more than half of the area is planted with Grüner Veltliner, the other half with Riesling. There is also a small amount of Gelber Muskateller and a little Sauvignon Blanc.
