Winery F. X. Pichler Dürnsteiner Grüner Veltliner 2024
The 2024 Dürnsteiner Grüner Veltliner is a single-vineyard cuvée from Dürnstein. The grapes come from numerous terraced vineyards across the municipality – including younger vines from sites such as Loibenberg, Kellerberg, Steinertal, Mühlpoint and Klosteratz – supplemented by vineyards on the plain, which are deliberately not bottled as single-vineyard wines. Matured exclusively in stainless-steel tanks, the wine retains its clear, terroir-driven style. On the nose, citrus fruits, white pepper and subtle yeast notes combine to form an invigorating bouquet. On the palate, it is juicy, elegant and wonderfully balanced. Spicy freshness, lively acidity and a delicate mineral finish lend it precision and drinkability. With 91–93 points from Vinous, the Dürnsteiner Grüner Veltliner has been rated as excellent.
