Winery Villa Santo Stefano LOTO 2022

The Colli Lucchesi is one of Italy's oldest and least known wine regions. The Loto, named after the lotus flowers in the pond of this certified organic estate, is built in the spirit of the great French blends: Cabernet Sauvignon (50%), Cabernet Franc (30%), Merlot (10%), Petit Verdot (10%). Each variety ages separately for twelve months in French barriques, then the final blend rests in concrete tanks. Blackcurrant and dark cherry on the nose, with sweet pipe tobacco, cedar wood and a touch of dark chocolate. On the palate red forest berries, a fine smoky note and ripe, tightly woven tannins.
