Louis Latour Chambertin Grand Cru Cuvée Héritiers Latour 2023

Louis Latour owns just 0.81 hectares in the Chambertin Grand Cru – a plot that has been passed down within the family since the late 19th century and therefore bears the name "Cuvée Héritiers Latour?. The vines, which are around 35 years old, are rooted in limestone-rich Bajocian soils containing gravel and clay. On the nose, the 2023 "Grand Cru? reveals notes of blackcurrant, plum, orange peel, undergrowth and tobacco, alongside dried flowers and stony notes. On the palate, it is fresh, dense and yet almost weightless, with notes of mocha, ultra-fine tannins and great inner calm. It is aged for ten to twelve months in new barriques. A subtle, exquisitely refined Chambertin that opens up slowly, continues to develop on the finish and possesses great ageing potential.
