Robert Weil Winery
"The aim is to bring the primary fruit to the bottle to the fullest extent." With Wilhelm Weil, one of the most renowned wineries in Germany and beyond is already being managed by the fourth generation.
It is impressive to see the work Wilhelm Weil's team has done to produce such a precise, fresh, even cool "Gräfenberg" in the warm 2018 vintage. The Riesling has everything that a Großes Gewächs should have. It is complex, deep and pure, yet full of energy and ripe fruit. The wine, which smells of ripe stone fruit, grapefruit, spices such as aniseed, but also flint and smoke, is particularly characterised by its salty, mouthwatering character. JANCIS ROBINSON awarded it 18.5 out of 20 points and ROBERT PARKER 96 points.
