Franz Wehrheim has created a crystal-clear Riesling here, characterised by red sandstone. The emphasis is on origin and varietal typicity. It smells of crisp apples and green pears, lemons and grapefruits, along with abrasion, some wet stone and lichen. On the palate, the Riesling initially appears elegant and calm, but then becomes increasingly electrifying towards the finish with an agile acidity, minerality and mouthwatering salinity. The first glass is quickly emptied!
