The grapes for the estate's flagship Pinot Blanc come from the best Pinot Blanc plots in the Bürgstadter Berg red sandstone vineyard, which gives the wine an impressively deep minerality. The 2020 vintage is golden in colour with green reflections, showing plenty of ripe apple, pineapple and other exotic fruits. 12 months of ageing on the lees in barriques brings a melting creaminess to the palate, balanced by lively acidity. 20% new wood brings perfectly integrated wood notes of smoke and vanilla. A great, serious wine that impressively proves that Paul and Sebastian Fürst are also masters at handling white Burgundy varieties.

At home in Bürgstatt am Main, in the westernmost corner of Franconia, the winery looks back on a tradition of almost 400 years. in 1997, Paul and Monika Fürst took over the business, renovated parcels and acquired more. Since 2018, the management has been in the hands of their son Sebastian and his wife Isabell. Today, the vineyard covers 21 ha and is 60% planted with Pinot Noir. In addition, there is Frühburgunder, Chardonnay, Weißburgunder and Riesling.
