Château de Saint Cosme
"Balance, freshness and finesse characterise our wines." Château de Saint Cosme in the Gigondas appellation was acquired by the family in 1490 and is now run by fifteenth generation Louis Barruol.
Château Saint Cosme Micro Cosme Rouge
The "Micro Cosme" cuvée consists of 60% Grenache and 40% Pinot Noir and is repeatedly topped up with the current vintage over the years using the solera method (known from sherry production). This is the version bottled in 2022. The domaine demonstrates its high level of expertise in the southern Rhône Valley here. Juicy cherry and berry fruit flow towards you. With fine spicy notes on the palate. Great drinking pleasure guaranteed! This unusual wine has long since achieved cult status in the Domaine's entry-level price range.
