Château Gruaud Larose 2ème GCC St. Julien 2022

Bordeaux, France, Red wine, wine cuvée
0.75 l, Item no. 11071

This 2022 Gruaud Larose particularly showcases the "elegant power? that this vintage brings. What appears to be a contradiction is almost self-explanatory here. You immediately sense the powerful concentration of the vintage, but also the great elegance of a 2ème Cru from St. Julien and, in particular, from Gruaud Larose. Deep dark fruit, supple tannins, and a salty minerality are particularly impressive in this modern classic

Château Gruaud Larose

Gruaud Larose is a château with over 250 years of history. In the middle of the 18th century, a priest named Gruaud bought the vineyard. The striking tower that flanks the impressive château on the high plateau of St Julien Beychevelle also goes back to him.
