Château les Carmes Haut-Brion
In 2010, the French tycoon Patrice Pichet purchased Château les Carmes Haut-Brion with the aim of making it into a real gem nestled in the heart of Bordeaux.
Carmes Haut Brion has always been a wine for insiders. Since the mid-2010s, however, it has developed into a real superstar of the Pessac appellation. A fascinating wine is produced on just seven hectares. State-of-the-art cellar technology and sustainable winemaking produce a wine with incredibly clear, pure-toned fruit and plenty of esprit. The wood management is on point, nothing is left to chance and the result in the bottle is truly spectacular. The 2020 is the perfect result of all these endeavours. The wine is very dark in colour, shows very spicy, black berry fruit aromas, fine ripe tannins and, thanks to the high Cabernet Franc content (almost 40%), a unique aroma - a work of art like the spectacular Chai, designed by Philippe Starck.
