Opus One Winery
When the centuries-long history of French epicurean culture is paired with the American idea of unlimited possibilities, it could result in a great wine - for example Opus One, one of the most highly priced red wines from California.
Opus One Napa Valley Doppelmagnum 2017
The extremely fine "Opus One" from a somewhat cooler vintage once again demonstrates the great class of this Mouton/Mondavi joint venture. Dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine displays refreshing but elegant notes of black berries, liquorice and spice cake. These are joined by juicy raspberries and cherries, which give this monument to Californian viticulture a refreshing flavour.
