Beaulieu Vineyard
"Quelle beau lieu" - as legend has it - was the exclamation of Fernande de Latours when she and her husband Georges first saw the now world-famous Rutherford Vineyard in Napa Valley in 1900.
We are not sure whether the mere 3% Petit Verdot that accompanies the 97% Cabernet Sauvignon is what makes Georges Latour's "Private Reserve' so special. But we are all the more certain about the special quality of this exceptional Californian. An extremely dense and concentrated wine, bursting with power, exuberant fruit and intense flavour. Matured for 22 months in 70% new wood and yet with perfectly balanced tannins, now just at the beginning of its drinking maturity. And consequently with the corresponding development potential for several decades.
