Château Ducru-Beaucaillou
The Grand Cru Classé Château Ducru-Beaucaillou in the Médoc appellation Saint-Julien has existed since 1720. It has been in the hands of the Borie family since 1942 and now for three generations.
You could be forgiven for thinking that this is the second wine from Château Ducru Beaucaillou. In reality, it is the successor to Château Lalande Borie, which has belonged to the same owner for a long time. Well, Bordeaux arithmetic is not always logical. In any case, it is a wine that is very hedonistic in the style of the house in the 2020 vintage. Juicy, ripe fruit and fine, elegant tannins make this wine extremely accessible and sensual.
