With a slightly higher proportion of Merlot than its big brother, the "Les Forts de Latour" is certainly ready to drink sooner, particularly in this delicately fruity 2017 vintage, though it possesses enormous ageing potential. A nose of red berries, silky tannins and a complex structure reveal a depth of character that very few second wines possess.
