Château Angélus cultivates the typical lush and silky St.-Émilion style like no other winery. Nothing is left to chance. Only ripe grapes make it to the cellar. The result is a fine, ripe and highly complex wine that never fails to impress with its silky fruit and extremely ripe and polished tannins. The 35% Cabernet Franc from very old vines, in combination with the Merlot, provides a complex nose of cassis and blackberries, as well as floral notes such as spring flowers and violets. The vineyard of Château Angélus is virtually surrounded by the three churches of Saint-Émillion. When the "angel bells" (Angel) structured the day for the people in the fields and among the vines, called for prayer, announced a break - then this could be heard particularly well here.
