Penfolds BIN 180 Gift box, 2021
57% Cabernet Sauvignon and 43% Shiraz from Block 10 and Block 5, planted in the 1960s, form this "BIN 180? from Coonawarra. It is a special release marking Penfolds' 180th anniversary, matured in French oak. The wine clearly reflects its origin from the iron-rich Terra Rossa soils. The cuvée delivers layers of blackberry, cassis, and blueberry, wrapped in spices, cedarwood, licorice, chocolate and olive tapenade, wild herbs, violets, and stone.
