Quinta Vale D. Maria Vinhas Do Sabor Douro Red 2021

The 2021 "Vinhas do Sabor? is a blend of about 40% Touriga Franca, 35% Touriga Nacional, 10% Tinta Roriz, 10% Alicante Bouschet, and 5% Baga. The vines are 30 to 40 years old, rooted in the schist soils of the Douro Superior. After hand-harvesting and vinification in traditional lagares, the wine was matured for 18 months in French oak. Aromas include violets, lavender, and roses, plums and cherries, oak, and cinnamon. On the palate, it shows deep dark fruit with particularly creamy tannins extending into the long finish.
