Tenuta San Guido Sassicaia 2017
This Sassicaia is one where the winery had to work extremely hard to combat the scorching heat and drought. Only high-end wineries with the necessary financial clout could produce such beautiful wines as Tenuta San Guido. A Sassicaia with warm, Mediterranean elegance. Ripe cassis, laurel, cedar and fine smoke on the nose. Smooth and precise on the palate; fine acidity, ripe tannins and a mineral-salty finish lend freshness and clarity. Consistently rated 94 points.
