Tenuta San Guido
Tenuta San Guido is located on the Etruscan coast between Livorno and Grosseto, in the Maremma, and stretches for 13 kilometres from the sea to the inland. San Guido can be considered one of Italy's iconic wineries.
Tenuta San Guido Sassicaia 2018
The 2018 vintage of Sassicaia is also the 50th. And as befits a birthday boy, it is a very classic year of great harmony and fine radiance. Cassis, blackberry, graphite, violet and laurel in the bouquet. Clear and expansive on the palate, carried by silky-fine tannins and vibrant acidity. Consistently 97 points. A vintage that combines the essence of elegance and power and certainly has potential until the late 2040s or early 2050s.
